Airplane crash leaves us realing...

My husband is a missionary pilot and we are in the process of going to Indonesia. He has a lot of contacts at our small local airport. Last night one of his fellow pilots crashed and died. He was my husband's friend and he was also one of our family's financial supporters for the mission field. HIs death has rocked our community. He was a very well-known and well-liked man with a very large family. As the wife of a pilot, my heart hurts for his widow, and at the same time I pray that I will never have to go through this horror with my own husband.

Do you love it as much as my husband? He thinks it's the best place on earth! :)

I do, though I haven't been back in years. It will always have a very special place in my heart. I'm probably related to the Poppells; heck I'm related to half the county. My ancestors were, well, prolific.

Thank you all for your hugs and sympathy! I can feel them!

It is interesting... My husband was worried that I might start worrying about him flying, but I have such a peace about it. I know he's a good pilot, and his mechanical background makes him so in tune with his plane, but I also know that he won't die while he has work left on this earth. I think that gives me the most peace.
