Tanya in KS
We just obtained a 5 gallon bucket of wild plums. They are sweet and tart and ever so tasty but what to do with them all???? WOuld you please send recipes.... Are they good to freeze and save for later?? Thanks!
PrairieAir
Are they sandhill plums? Those things are way too tart to eat alone, IMO. A blogging friend visited me the other day, though, and she brought me some sandhill plum jam that's very good. She bought it at the farmer's market, so no recipes here. Cindy in Indy
My mom used to make a wonderful plum butter (like apple butter, only made with plums). It was so delicious! No recipes, but I bet you can find one with on-line search. enjoy! Cindy
Gretchen in NJ
I love plum tarts and they are so very easy to make. I use William-Sonoma's Tart crust receipe.
