Miss Marple
My niece is beginning her research for homeschool products. We have discussed at length various learning styles and the curricula that best fits those styles. I came across this and from what I see, I wish it had been available for one particular son of my own. Her son seems to have a similar learning style to my son. We used Singapore with the CD-rom games and they boys have done well. But, still, one particular son could have benefited from a more visual/hands-on approach. http://www.mindresearch.net/cont/programs/demo/tours/SolvingLinearEquations/progTour.php
EKS
I would NOT use ST Math as a primary program. However, for certain kids it might make a good supplement. From what I understand, they do not sell to homeschoolers, but that might have changed.
Miss Marple
Thanks, Kai. Do you think it would be a better supplement than the Singapore Rainbow Rock program? I've not used the AoPS for the younger group and I wonder if Beast Academy incorporates anything like the ST program into their program? This is a very bright boy, but he is definitely a hands-on, "I can do it myself" kind of learner.
EKS
I don't know if it would be a better supplement, just different.
