Guest
A friend asked my daughter if she was asking for La La Loopsy dolls for Christmas. I had never heard of them - are they a TV show? Books? Or just a toy? They look cute, I'm curious!
coralloyd
They are just toys. There is one little movie about them. My 8 yr. old is crazy about them. She has many of the little ones and two of the bigger ones; that she has saved for and bought herself. We got her all lalaloopsy stuff for Christmas. They are adorable. learningmama
They are really cute. My aunt got dd a house and several dolls last year. I had never heard of them before either. We saw a cute tree house for them this morning at Walmart. DD doesn't play with them very often, though.
Paige
They have at least one movie too. We have it and it is very sweet. There's no snark or sassy talk or meanness. I was pleasantly surprised. My DD has 1 doll and I think it is enough but I wouldn't mind seeing another movie for them. The coloring books and crafts are cute too. trinchick
DD8 loves lalaloopsy. She has oodles of the minis, a couple of the mid-sized ones, and one large one. The tiny ones are played with far more than the others. There are a couple of mini sets half price on amazon right now ($6 each), which is a good deal. They sound lovely, I'll go give them a look at Target. :)

lovinmomma
My daughters are in love with them, too. I've never really understood the point, but they love them! lol
blondeviolin
The ones that my girls drool over are the ones where you can fix their hair. (And, wow! Don't buy them there. Go to Target where they are $25-$30.) My oldest is not a dolly girl so she's not getting one, but the three-year-old will be getting a Lalaloopsy and she will be ecstatic. Loves the show on Netflix! sewingmama
My DD just developed the craze for them - she is getting 3 big ones, 2 little sisters and a few minis and the treehouse for Christmas (yes I know I love them too). Their story is that they are ragdolls that came to life (hence their button eyes) and each one is made from a fabric specific to their personalities - for eg my DD wants the art one who was made from a pair of painters overalls. You can buy books for them as well that have little stories. There is also an online website that has the cutest game. The thing I like most about them is that they also have decent boy versions (not just a boy version that is an afterthought KWIM). My 5yo DS is getting the pirate one and my 3yo DS is getting the one made from a firemans coat (although it is a girl). Some of them have become hard to find though - which means the dolls are also semi-collectable. I think they are super cute and I'm crazy over mini dollies myself.
