Guest Xapis10
I thought I was prepared for winter, but my son's boots were not the size I thought they were! So I'm looking at some on area classifieds which are girl's, but they're black and would work fine if the size is going to be what I expect... Guest Xapis10
I worry, because my son's feet are thick, so I can't have anything "dainty"
Guest inoubliable
Children't shoes have the same width, boys or girls. Same for size. Width and length don't start to differ until adult sizes. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoe_size#Children.27s I think you'll be okay with the boots from the classifieds. :)

Farrar
The brand makes a difference as to the width, but if he doesn't need wide shoes normally, count yourself lucky and go with the girl boots. Buying wide for everything when your kids have absurdly wide feet is a huge, expensive pain. :)
