musicianmom
I have bad hair. Very thick, just enough natural curl to make it fuzzy and frizzy. I know this kind of hair takes more work, but there's not much I can do when the styling products all have smells that bother me. Does anyone know of some unscented gel or something that really works? I could also use some unscented shampoo and conditioner.
MicheleinMN
I don't, but I'm going to be watching this thread because you described me and my hair to a T. :lurk5:
Joules
As someone who is allergic to everything, I highly recommend Vanicream products. They have been a life saver to me (as someone who was about to resort to washing one's hair in nothing but vinegar!)
Clear Creek
I haven't yet found a fragrance-free styling product that I like, but after trying a half-dozen different brands of fragrance-free shampoos and conditioners my favorite has turned out to be Paula's Choice. The shampoo cleans my hair without stripping all the moisture out and the conditioner is by far the most moisturizing of all that I tried. This page has a good selection of fragrance-free haircare products. The ones I tried are Jason Natural, Desert Essence (not bad), Stoneybrook (watery and useless), DHS (harsh), Free & Clear (too mild), and Earth Science. milovany
In the meantime, check out the book Curly Girls by Lorraine Massey.
texasmama
All of the unscented products I have tried have not been to my liking, but I wanted to stop in and tell you that I have your same kind of "bad hair". I think it gets worse as I get older!
