Crimson Wife
I stumbled across the author's blog and it looks like he takes an interesting approach to teaching arithmetic. Has anybody seen his e-book Pre-Algebra New Math Done Right?
wapiti
Interesting, though clearly I would need much more coffee to digest what he says in his blog. Note that he links to a page on Maria Miller's website (I am on my phone right now so I haven't checked it).
Crimson Wife
He does link to Maria Miller's blog, but it's to contrast his approach to teaching fractions with hers. He appears to take a much more theoretical approach, which I'm not sure is best for younger students. However, it's something that I may want to introduce to my oldest student as she transitions to secondary math. But first *I* need to do some self-education to understand exactly what he's saying :tongue_smilie: Anybody who references Dr. Hung-Hsi Wu in a math discussion has got my attention, though!
