RootAnn
I plan on having my oldest start WWS1 this summer. In anticipation, I was wondering if anyone had already compiled the learnings that others have had about the different lessons -- which ones need some clarifications (like the Rikki Tikki Tavi Lit Analysis one) and which ones are likely to take a little longer. I know some of the insights are in the master WWS thread & some are on the Writing sub-board. One document or thread that we could refer to would be *great* for those who are starting WWS (or in the middle of it). Has anyone already done this or should I add it to my list "To Do Before Summer"? TIA!
Mom0012
I don't know if anyone has compiled such a list. One thing that I can add is that it isn't going to be for every 5th grader. My struggling writer is doing it as a 7th grader and I've found it challenging enough that I'm holding off on it with my current 5th grader even though she is a strong writer. I think it will shift from being something she'd really have to work at, to being nice and easy if I wait at least another year. I don't know if that's the overall consensus or just me. RootAnn
There was a poll on that -- and I think 6th grade was what most people indicated at the time. Mine will be an old 6th grader or a young 7th grader (depending on how you go by it), so I'm heeding the Hive's advice. Anyone else? :bigear:
