Can I substitute agave for honey?

Recommended Posts

I ran out of honey and want to make bread. Can I use agave? Would the amounts be equal? Thanks!

I'd do it. I can't imagine the chemical composition is any different and as long as you use it regularly and like the taste, you should be fine.

I've done it before. How did yours come out? I don't think I could really tell the difference.

I didn't end up trying the agave and then my KA died. I will next time I bake though. I have been enjoying it in my tea and don't notice a difference really from honey.

Aha! I was thinking "Cool, Jean is going to try agave nectar in the bread she's kneading by hand!" :001_smile:
