Scuff Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I really need activities or toys that would be good during school hours. Please! Quote
Momof3littles Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 I'm not sure if you are looking for more Montessori type items, or just toys in general. There are some good deals on certain Thomas the train items right now on amazon. Have you checked Etsy and Pinterest for busy bag or Montesorri types of activities? My youngest is 2.5 and will now sit for short periods to use tongs or tweezers for transferring items, etc. Quote
moonlight Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 What about some Crayola Color Wonder items? Quote
*Inna* Posted December 2, 2012 Posted December 2, 2012 Google "Toddler busy bags". There are tons of ideas out there. I have a separate cupboard for my youngest. Wooden and Lauri puzzles stacked, all the pieces go on a zip bag and a plastic shoebox. Wooden beads and dyed pasta to string on a pipe cleaner. Sorting games (by color, shape, number if things). Scuff Posted December 3, 2012 Author Posted December 3, 2012 Thanks for all the ideas! It's amazing the things you forget with just a 6 yr gap. Are there any good montessori idea books out there? Quote
Momof3littles Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 Our library has a few good Montessori books, but my fav ideas come from Montessori blogs and Pinterest. There are also Flickr sets with Montessori type busy bags, etc. for toddlers. If you go on Pinterest there are lots of toddler busy bag activities or you can also look for toddler Montessori. Quote
moonlight Posted December 3, 2012 Posted December 3, 2012 I came across this today which I think is cute: http://childhood101.com/2010/09/our-toddler-friendly-sewing-basket/ Quote
