Word Nerd
I have to take most of them to a bake sale tomorrow, but I let the kids and DH have one. Two preferred to eat theirs unfrosted, and my younger DD wanted one with frosting and sprinkles. Just curious how you prefer your cupcakes. Upward Journey
Other. I prefer to just eat the frosting. I don't like cake :D
justLisa
I take a small circle out of the middle, fill with fudge, then frost. What REALLY sucks is when you eat the top and then it's like a naked cake. It makes me very angry

Cinder
Topped with something else. I prefer a sprinkle of powdered sugar or a dollop of pudding. I've never been a fan of frosting but I do like cake.
SunnyDays
I like the cake, but I live for the frosting. And none of the darn "whipped" frosting that's been making the rounds lately... buttercream all the way, baby!!
PinkInTheBlue
Usually I leave them unfrosted with the frosting nearby. 3 of us like unfrosted and the other 2 think the cupcake is there to hold as much frosting as possible. :) I'm in the unfrosted camp. :)
Freckles
I love to make cupcakes from scratch. My favorite flavor right now is chocolate with salted buttercream frosting. Yummy!! I voted frosted, but that is for homemade cupcakes. I also like the ratio of cake to frosting to be equal. However, if you put a storebought cupcake in front of me, I will scrape all of the frosting off the top and eat the cake.
GWOB
Cupcakes are merely a frosting-delivery mechanism.
fraidycat
I like the cake, but I live for the frosting. And none of the darn "whipped" frosting that's been making the rounds lately... buttercream all the way, baby!! I LOVE the whipped frosting. I can handle a little bit of buttercream, but in general, it's way too sweet. Whipped, I can eat by the truckload!
Remudamom
No frosting, but with pudding.
kalanamak
Frosted, but a close second is very deep dark chocolate ones frozen, unfrosted, and gnawed while hard.
Mrs Mungo
Other. I prefer to just eat the frosting. I don't like cake :D That is my dh, lol. We sometimes take chocolate cupcakes, top them with a marshmallow, put them back in the oven, once the marshmallow is poofy (that is a technical term, I know) you take them back out of the oven and squish the marshmallows. Cinder
Cupcakes are merely a frosting-delivery mechanism. This reminds me of what ds says about french fries: that they're just a socially acceptable way to eat ketchup.
