anmom Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Has anyone used this? I was looking at the Memoria Press plans that we had for next year and noticed that it is listed for both grades 1 and 2 that I will be doing. I tried to do a search, but didnt see any reviews for it! Quote
FairProspects Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I've used Level 1 twice. I really like it if you are looking for a phonics workbook. It had much more interesting pictures and games for review than ETC, IMO. It is still just a workbook so it is not going to be revolutionary if you have a workbook-hater, but it is a good workbook. :) Quote
Seeker of Schole Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 If you're using Memoria Press for Phonics / Reading instruction get them. They are a nice component to have, help to reinforce the sound of the letters and the handwriting. I am very pleased with the program. My DD(4) is having great success with it. Quote
cmarango Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 I agree with the pp. It certainly helped reinforce the ideas from the Classical Phonics book. Quote
anmom Posted December 1, 2012 Author Posted December 1, 2012 We are already using FLL and WWE and I would like to continue. Do you think SRA would be overkill when added to MP? Quote
cmarango Posted December 1, 2012 Posted December 1, 2012 SRA is just for phonics while WWE and FLL cover writing and grammar. There is no overlap whatsoever. Is your child still learning to read or are they beyond that stage? If they are done with phonics then there is no need for SRA. Quote
