dsmith Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 After my mom died, most of the family photos came home with me. I'd love to create photo books for my brothers and sister for Christmas, and would like to keep the price as low as possible without sacrificing quality. I have used Shutterfly in the past and was happy with the quality, but I just missed a sale they were having. :glare: I would love any recommendations. Quote
sunriseiz Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Sorry, no ideas...just a bump as I have the same question! Quote
tammyw Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Wait for another shutterfly sale - they should have 40% off soon. I have a $10 off code to share if you want to pm me. Plus I think they ate having a 20% extra right now. Quote
dsmith Posted November 28, 2012 Author Posted November 28, 2012 40% off would be nice! Thanks for the code offer, but I don't mind waiting for a sale. I haven't used them in a while and don't know how often they have sales, but as long as I know one is coming I'm happy to wait. :001_smile: Dh made me a beautiful wedding album on Shutterfly, so I know the quality will be good. We're not having our party until after Christmas, so I have a little extra time. Wait for another shutterfly sale - they should have 40% off soon. I have a $10 off code to share if you want to pm me. Plus I think they ate having a 20% extra right now. Quote
tammyw Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I just realized that their sale doesn't end until tonight. All books are 30-50% off, plus an extra 20% off that, plus free shipping (if your order is over $30) and plus you can use my $10 off coupon, if you wish. But you must hurry as it ends tonight. Quote
athena1277 Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I have used Snapfish the last 2 years to make photo books for the grandparents. The quality is really good. I also helped my mom scan old photos and make books for my dad and his siblings after my grandmother passed away recently. I have only seen those online (they shipped today), but I expect them to turn out well. I don't know how other sites do it, but I like that Snapfish tells you when you have made a photo so big that it will look pixelated (sp?) when printed. Helps to avoid poor photos in the final product. Oh, and their special offers change a lot this time of year. You can make the book and save it, then order when there is a good sale. Quote
twoxcell Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I have ordered photo books from snapfish and the quality was great. They even have awesome customer service and were very generous when there was a printing error. I'm always seeing coupons and sales for them. Quote
Elinor Everywhere Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I use Blurb but I don't know how it compares price-wise. Quality has been very good. I wouldn't mind something more "scrapbookish" though - Blurb is often used by professional photographers and the layouts are good, but simple. Quote
Element Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I LOVE Shutterfly. I just ordered an iPhone case Friday and used a code (which was supposed to only work on cards?) which gave me $20 off (although I couldn't combine the $20 off with the free shipping code.) The code was PERKHOLIDAY. I'm not sure if it still works, but I thought I'd put that out there in case you decided to go back to Shutterfly. Quote
StaceyinLA Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 I just did a book, calendar and Christmas cards on Shutterfly. I got the book 30 % off, and used a $20 off coupon plus the free shipping over $30, all on the same order. $44 for all of it - AWESOME!! Quote
