Help me get our history back "on track"

For my son's Kinder year, we did geography (via Galloping the Globe). For 1st, we did US history the first half of the year and read through SOTW 1/Ancients (with some maps) the second half of the year. This year, we have done US history again, Exploration - Civil War. If it were you, where would you go next? (And then the year after, of course!)

I'd buzz through ancient history (maybe read the book over the first month or so of school, or over the summer, as review) and move on to the Middle Ages, and continue world history from there. You can always slow down once you get to the 1860s and include extra US history after the Civil War.

I'd probably finish up US history... or you could do SOTW 2. Really, it's completely up to you. What do you feel like doing? What is your son interested in?

Rocks, dirt, space... :p lol

I think I like this idea. I was a bit concerned that if we're doing US this year and Middle Ages next year, we'd be back doing US the year after, but if we do SOTW like I'm planning, it wouldn't really be US like we did this year (concentrated).
