kfeusse
but I don't know which one...if you own one and love it please send me a link...preferably $50 and under...thanks. (I was hoping that the new set up would allow us to correct the spelling errors (or typos) in our title...but I can see, we can't...as soon as I clicked to post...I noticed I spelled Belgian wrong....)UGH! Jean in Newcastle
It's a bit over your price range but perhaps you could find it on sale. . . Waring Pro

nukeswife
I thought I wanted a flip type one and went to Bed Bath and Beyond. The sales person there said they get a lot of returns on the flip ones and suggested a $30 cuisinart one. It's not belgian but they had one like that too and it's the best $30 I've ever spent. I've had it about 5 years now and have never made a bad waffle.
OrganicAnn
We have a simple Belgium Waffle Maker. I think it is easier than the flip type. I've used the flip type at breakfast buffets. We had this one for so many years, actually I think my parents had it and gave it to us. I can't imagine it was very expensive.
emeraldjoy
I talked my mom into getting my husband the waring pro at costco lat year (for christmas); my argument was that waffles were his favorite!!! I love it so much; the kids can make their own and actually thnk it is fun. It was $40 or less, I believe and not sure if they are selling them this year. shukriyya
I wanted one that wasn't teflon coated but since all the flip-top ones are I went with one similar to this though ours has wooden handles.

jkwynn
This one doesn't flip, but I bought it when I had a craving for waffles one night - and so far we love it. I just wish it cooked 4 at a time, lol.
Elizabeth in MN
It doesn't flip, but we got ours from William-Sonoma. Ah, the days of disposable income...
Carrie12345
We have the Waring Pro and use it, on average, once a week. We've had it for a couple of years now. I love that dang thing!
hana
I've had two Waring Pros. I love them, but both died. I plan to get another, as I haven't loved the others I've had. If you go this route, I recommend buying from Costco or somewhere else with an extended return plan.
Eagle
I don't have one to recommend as I prefer the non-Belgian style of waffle, but I wanted to thank you for the topic. After seeing it on the forums yesterday and today I couldn't resist any longer and am eating waffles right this minute! Ahhh, pregnancy cravings... Catwoman
I have one of the flip ones and it's very good, but I would like to find one with removable plates that can go in the dishwasher. Does anyone have any suggestions?
MarinesWife
We love our flip one. so easy to use. BUT ... it's long. Finding a spot in the cabinet was challenging at first. :)
Woodhaven
I have this one: http://www.amazon.ca...e/dp/B00005MFQD I just used it this morning. It's great. I have this one too and like it very much. Works great! Only problem is there are 6 people (IL's don't join us for breakfast) and 4 at a time is never enough!! imeverywoman
What a great thread! My waffle iron recently died and I asked for a new one for Christmas. DD INSISTS that she buy me the fip/Belgian iron, but I just want the plain ol' iron that makes four at a time. She'll be glad to read this thread! :)
