treestarfae
Light roast or dark? Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts? Flavored? Light roast I'm told has more caffeine, so I'm a fan. I think Starbucks is bitter and burnt. McDonald's coffee and Bad Ass coffee is decent. I love Hawaiian. I try to buy fair trade and organic. I dig coffee houses with couches, poetry readings and acoustic music.
Parrothead
The only way I'll drink a coffee is if it is a mocha latte. I'm okay with coffee houses but haven't been to one in a great while.
TravelingChris
I drink Kona coffee at home. I only sometimes go to a coffee house. Actually, I go to a bakery/coffee house every Tuesday and I either have just the regular coffee there (with half and half and sugar, the same way I have it at home) or unsweetened iced tea. Avila
These guys are the best. http://www.mysticmonkcoffee.com/store/storefront.php I am not much for dairy, so I do enjoy flavored coffee sometimes. The carmel is my favorite flavord, and the breakfast blend is my everyday choice.
HollyDay
I like Big B's white chocolate mocha. If I go to Starbucks, I like a latte with 1 pump white mocha and 1 pump chocolate mocha. Last winter, I loved Sarbucks hot peppermint mocha. I'm not that excited about it this winter. To brew at home, I like cosa rican coffee
Mergath
Of the major coffee chains I prefer Starbucks, but the best coffee I've ever had was at Beaner's in Duluth, MN. Oh, and I like the flavor of a dark roast better. I wouldn't say I frequent cafes, but I grab a latte or a cup of coffee once a week or so. TheReader
I like a medium roast, and prefer local stuff since I'm in Brazil anyway :) The one I've been getting is grown right in my state, not far from where I am. I especially like this one that was high altitude beans. I have no idea what the effect is of the altitude, but it was amazing. Alas, they doubled the price so I've switched....still with a local one, which is nice. I'm fine with flavored, though at home I don't do that. Sugar is added ;) and adjusted for whether or not I have my favorite coffee or 2nd or 3rd, depending on what the grocery store had available. I find some don't require as much..... am sadly unfamiliar with Starbucks drinks as I didn't start drinking coffee until after we moved to Brazil, and while we do have Starbucks here the prices are crazy and I can get better coffee elsewhere, cheaper. LOVE local coffee houses, though we don't frequent too much. There aren't any right near us now, but I imagine when we're back in the US, DH and I will seek one out for a date night place. kalanamak
The last year or so I've been on a Peet's Major Dickason's Blend. Before that I liked a local Dancing Goats blend. I'm also humbled to find out my husband makes better coffee than I do. It is often the best animal pleasure I have in a day.

Spryte
This is heavenly: http://my.counterculturecoffee.com/coffee/espresso-toscano.html If you order it by subscription, it arrives within days of being roasted. All of their blends are good, and right now, as I type, I am enjoying a shade grown blend. I love coffee houses, though now that we have a Jura espresso maker and I really understand my own tastes and how to make a great cappuccino... I find that DH and I make a better drink at home. catz
For chain coffee shops, my favorite one is Dunn Bros. They roast in house. We LOVE bringing home their bean coffee and think it makes the best cup we can make at home. I prefer light roasts. And I do not particularly like sweet coffee, but I do like milk or cream. LOVE lattes and cappucinos with no sugar. I think the quality of coffee in the chain shops have generally gone down the past few years. Honestly, the best coffee around here right now are in the little one off shops. I have a few local favorites. They're usually cheaper and better than the chains. And they actually make their own baked goods, soups, etc etc etc. LOVE supporting my local coffee shops!
Cinder
I love Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice latte. Yeah, me too. I recently had a Rooibos Vanilla latte and it was really good too. Those are special treats. For day-to-day I like a dark roast Starbucks, no cream, no sugar. Dh likes Dunkin Donuts hazelnut with plenty of half-and-half. I don't go to coffee houses much here. When we lived in TX we had a nice little place that sold soups, sandwiches and desserts. And coffee. And they had music. Dh and I enjoyed going there. Haven't found anything like that nearby here. Stacia
Once upon a time, I loved Torrefazione Italia coffee (later bought & shut down by Starbucks). Mostly, I drink Starbucks coffee, at home & in cafes. Also, there is a lovely European style coffee/cafe near my home that is a real treat to visit. (And, I see that Torrefazione is available online through cooking.com, so I may have to order a bag & see if it is as good as I remember.) Love dark/strong coffees. I shudder at Dunkin Donuts coffee. Seriously, that stuff is so bad I can't drink it. :ack2:
