rwalizer
grammar book? We need more grammar but I really only want to spend maybe 30 minutes twice a week for one more year. We have the basics but need a little more depth. Jensen's is also not too expensive. Any other suggestions?
xxxxxxxx
I'm planning on using Jensen's this year for my dd (9th grade). She needs some grammar review and after looking this over, I think it will fit. We are going to do it 2-3 days a week and the book should last for 2 years. Sharon in MD
We were happy with both of these books. I used Jensen's Grammar first and then the Punctuation book, which builds on the skills. I think they are really helpful. My ds had struggled with grammar, particularly the punctuation side of things and these two books truly helped him. Jensen does a good job of presenting rules that you can live with and building up from those. I really could use a good review myself and ought to pull them out and work through them! Pamela H in Texas
We were happy with Jensen's but if you do it 3 days a week, it'll take two years, unless you're doing it for a fairly long period those three days weekly. My daughter did, I think, 6 lessons (or tests or whatever) per week to finish in a school year. Don't quote me on that. It may have been 6 lessons PLUS tests. Not sure. Anyway, so if you are looking for something to do part time AND only for one year, Jensen's is probably not it.
