Guest Spinfy
Hi all parents! I would like to start a discussion on children's apps. Do any of you lend your smart phones or tablets to your children? What have your experiences been? Which apps have been popular in you family? Lizzie in Ma
Not apps so much as games, my twelve year old uses it the most. Machinarium, The Curse, World of Goo, Poweramp for audiobooks, Dragonbox algebra game, and we have some great emulators for Gameboy Color and Nintendo that she plays a ton of old school games on like Zelda and Mario Bros. Overdrive for ebooks and audiobooks from the library, Mobo player for videos I put on it for her.
gardenmom5
my 7yo plays games on my phone when I give him his shot. It makes everything go much easier. sometimes during boring car trips.
MeaganS
I don't know what age you're looking for, but my 4yo really loves all the Make A Scene apps. There's a dinosaur one that is supposed to come out soon. Little Fox is another wonderful little app. And I love TallyTots and AlphaTots. My young 2yo can count to 20 because of TallyTots and it is a well-designed app.

Mrs Mungo
Are you looking for apps for your kids? How old are they? What do they like? Is there anything specific you want them to work on? Or are you using us as research monkeys for a paid content article you are writing?
crazyforlatin
In addition to the ones already mentioned, BrainPop Quell

Mrs Mungo
Bwah hahahaha! I was just curious. It's close to a spammy question from a first time poster. Plus, it's so lazy! There are already tons of threads on this, at least search threads that people have already made and do your own homework, if you're getting paid. justLisa
I snorted soda :( OUCH. I've done that. I'm glad I finished my coffee. I'm answering no. No I don't want to discuss it, and no I don't lend my children one. They each have an Ipad. Neener neener

Guest Spinfy
Oh I'm sorry, didn't mean to sound spammy. My daughter is 3 yo and I haven't tried that many games yet, I would like to give her some book apps though. Haven't even heard about many of the games you guys mentioned, thanks, will try them out!
