My son brought me this hen 5 days ago. She couldn't walk. I have not been able to find any broken bones or wounds. I put here in the tote you see and brought her in the house thinking she would die by morning. Well, she is still here. We place her out in the sun every morning, bring her back in at night. She eats and drinks and sits there. I have taken to moving her legs and rubbing her back to see if I can keep circulation going. Starting yesterday she started to flop/crawl/scooch about a little. Today she moved about 3 ft. I just do not know what to do with her. :)blank.gif

Can you think of anything I can do to help her?

We had the same thing happen with one of our hens. We did about the same as what you're doing. We kept her separated from the other girls and would put her outside on her own. They would peck her, if we didn't :glare: . Eventually, she started moving around more, but would lose her balance and fall forward. We continued the separation for about 2 MONTHS!! During this time, she regained balance and strength and we eventually reintroduced her to some of the more docile girls. She's still on the lowest end of the pecking order, but holding her own!

During the first week of the behavior, I did add Poultry Nutri-Drench to her water. I have no idea if it helped. She started improving after about a week, but during that week, she pretty much just laid in one spot. Hope your girl gets better!
