HollyBee
When I meandered out to the kitchen this morning, my 26-year-old built in KitchenAid fridge was pulled out of its spot in the cabinets. We've jury-rigged it so many times, had the compressor fixed, etc. This time it is just dead as a doornail--no power (yes, all switches/breakers have been checked). It's time to move on. Does anyone have a built-in fridge that you absolutely love? I am not inclined to modify cabinetry to change to a different size/style of fridge. We've already painted the cabinets and replaced the countertops and backsplash, so we're just wanting a new fridge that will fit in the existing space. From the research I've done this morning, it looks like we're pretty limited to the higher-end brands like Sub-Zero, Thermador, and Jenn-Air. I'm bummed that this happened right before the holidays, but thankful that I'm not hosting Thanksgiving at my house. Thanks! cjzimmer1
I've never had a built in fridge but I wanted to recommend www.ajmadison.com and http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/appl/ as good places to do research. AJMadison actually sells appliances but there is reviews on the appliances that users post. GardenWeb is just a great place to research. It's funny that you mention these two sites, because I've spent most of today on them! :001_smile: I really do appreciate it. I agree on GardenWeb, and I think I landed on AJMadison through a link in a thread from GW.
