jen3kids
I want to make turkey meatballs - some for tonight's dinner and some to save for another time. Can I safely thaw the ground turkey, make the meatballs and re-freeze the ones I don't need tonight? Thanks, Jen
KatieJ
I would cook the meatballs first and then freeze what you don't use tonight. I do it all the time with beef meatballs.

Sounds good. I'll cook them all, let them cool and pack them away for another time. The second recipe is for a soup, so they should be fine thawing/warming in that. In The Great White North
I would cook them too, but I was told years ago by a butcher that they were allowed to freeze, thaw, refreeze THREE times and still call it "fresh"! This was when I complained that my "fresh" Thanksgiving turkey was frozen solid in the middle.
