AKshanmar
My oldest daughter took some acrylic painting classes this summer, and has discovered her new passion. Christmas & her birthday are coming up, and I wondered what we should get her, as I know nothing!
Catwoman
Get the print catalogs from art stores like Daniel Smith, Dick Blick, Jerry's Artarama, and Cheap Joe's, and let your dd go through them and see what she likes. There are so many options that you really need her help to narrow things down a bit. Once you have a better idea of what she feels she wants or needs, and know approximately how much you want to spend, several of us can probably give you some recommendations. But really, get the catalogs first. They are so much better than looking at the online sites.

besroma
Cheap Joe's has good prices on starter sets. I also use coupons from Michael's to pick up art supplies. When they have art paper pads on sale, it is a great deal to combine that with a coupon for 25% off your entire purchase.
AKshanmar
Thanks for he suggestions! She lives in Wyoming now, but she is coming home for Christmas. I know she has been collecting things for her "studio corner" in her apartment, but living in WY, her main source is Walmart! I'll have some of those catalogs sent to her, and maybe she'll give me some clues.
