KungFuPanda
Thanksgiving with my sister got juggled up to this Saturday. I want to do what I can to streamline everything because we'll be eating rather late. Has anyone ever successfully cooked and carved their turkey ahead of time and just reheated for dinner? I'm willing to brine. I really don't think anyone cares if they SEE a whole bird. They just want yumminess. Any advice?
Annie G
My mil does that every year. When she reheats she adds a bit of broth to add some moistness back. It's always been fine. Though she does cook it to death, I think the broth and reheating probably make it taste as good as when it first comes out.

AK_Mom4
Reheating works great for just about everything. Add a bit of moisture back in when you reheat (broth for turkey or dressing, milk for mashed potatoes, butter for sweet potatos, you get the picture). If you make a green salad, leave off the dressing until just before it's served. Stir the gravy really well when reheating so it doesn't go all lumpy on you. Bake the rolls ahead of time too. Stores here offer full turkey dinners that you can pick up a day or so in advance and then warm everything up. Thanksgiving is a great Make-In-Advance Meal! KungFuPanda
Ok, I'm going to give this a go. We're eating at 7 and that's just too late in the day to hope you timed the turkey just right. Thanks everyone! You didn't happen to catch the price of that TJs turkey? #tempted

Danestress
you can get a turkey from Honey Baked Ham - precooked and frozen. You just thaw and reheat. I had heard good reports and will file my own after next week.

Unicorn.
I alsways make the turkey ahaead of time if I have to make a turkey. I have dh slice it up, then before I put it into the refrigerator, I pour some of the broth from the roaster over the sliced turkey. Just pop it in the oven when you need it and reheat, and the broth keeps it from drying out.
