southernm
I am putting up our Christmas lights today. It's 70 in Michigan which is almost unheard of, so I thought I'd take advantage! DH is out of town and I need electrical help! I have one strand of led lights that work, connecting to a strand that doesn't work which is connected to a strand that does work. How is it possible to have a whole strand of lights out, but still sending current to the next strand? I've looked all over the internet and can't figure this one out! Parrothead
If the wire has 3 strands it will allow the current to continue through the broken set. If it has 2 strands it won't. I don't remember why and dh just went to work.
southernm
Thanks! I really don't want to have to replace these, they were expensive! Alessandra
We got a light tester -- looks lik e red gun. I googled and it seems like the LightKeeper Pro (can't check now, as it is packed somewhere). We managed to save quite e few strands using one of these. Google 'Christmas light tester you tube' -- there are some decent videos out there.
