joannqn 539
We have a family friend that likes to buy the kids a magazine subscription for Christmas and is asking me about titles. My 3 year old really likes older DD's American Girl magazine, but DD will no longer be getting it. Is there a good alternative magazine that is American Girl-ish but more appropriate for a 3 year old?
Chris in VA 17,805
Hmmm. How about a nature magazine instead? Ranger Rick is cute and fun. Or how about a mag filled with stories? We loved Ladybug.
BikeBookBread 12
Not American Girlish, but you should check out the Cricket/Ladybug/Spider family of magazines. Very high quality, well written, and my daughters were so excited every month when they arrived.

Plink 4,933
There is a Ranger Rick Junior? Ooh! Off to google. :auto: ETA: RR Jr. looks perfect for my little one! $15 for 10 issues is a good price too. THANKS! Edited November 10, 2012 by LibertyH
Farrar 65,492
Someone gave us Babybug at that age. It's cute. There's also a National Geographic magazine for tiny ones that I seem to remember...

Word Nerd 17,145
My DDs liked Wild Animal Baby at that age. They send a lot of renewal notices, though, and they started coming only a few months after the sub started.
