Tokyomarie
In September, I posted a thread titled, "Where have I been?". Between being busy with family and trying to begin to get back to some routine, I haven't posted an update. My mom passed away 4 weeks ago tomorrow. I had so hoped we would get more time with her than we did, but it wasn't to be. It was tough being a primary caregiver. It was tough losing her. It is tough dealing with the fallout from certain family members who didn't cope well with my being gone. Dealing with the latter is sapping all of my energy and I have nothing to give anyone. A bright spot, though, is that my son does seem to be figuring out how to navigate some of his school issues himself. I'm not sure what's going to happen with his math class yet because of the effect of the first really bad test, but he does finally seem to be connecting that a large part of his grade is related to how much effort he puts into homework and preparation for tests. He turned 18yo almost two weeks ago, so I am glad to see this maturity finally begin to kick in. RamonaQ
I am so sorry to hear about your mom. It must be so tough to be grieving and continuing to meet your son's needs. My prayers are with you during this time.
