amselby81
I requested the catalog, and there seems to be a lot of material for each grade. I was looking at first grade specifically. Are there no package deals, where you can order everything? On the website it seems that you have to ring everything up seperately. I haven't even added everything, and it's come to over $1,000. Holy moly! Is that really how much it costs? I was just curious. I probably won't get the curriculum b/c aside from the price, we probably wouldn't have enough time to do all of it. Meriwether
It is expensive if you buy everything, but it isn't necessary to buy everything. I have a daughter who can and will read 1000+ pages per week and we still don't get everything done. Not all of those pages are VP schoolwork, but she is a quick and willing reader. MeghanL
It does seem expensive...but that's mainly because of the books. Almost the entire curriculum is non-consumable, so I really think it's saving me money in the long run to have sturdy, quality materials that will last from year to year. ...................
If you call them and tell them your budget, they will walk you through exactly what you need. What's in the catalog, and even what's listed as necessary, can even be trimmed down. They spend more time on the phone than a lot of other companies are willing to do.
