jhschool
I am looking at Scholars Online (the classical education for the college-bound student website). Anyone have experience with them? Good? bad? We are looking for very academically challenging classes and we have done The Potter's School, which was academically very high quality. If you have done both, how do they compare? Thanks in advance for any feedback! Edited November 3, 2012 by jhschool
Carolyn in Ohio
My dd (now a freshman in college) took literature and Greek through SO from 8th grade through 12th. She also took Old English one year, and 2 of the 3 courses of summer Shakespeare. She loved every class and I have been very pleased. The quality of the courses was top-notch, and she met many online friends, some of whom she was able to meet in real life during her high school years. 2 of them are freshman with her at college now. My ds, now in 9th grade, is taking Latin I now. i have heard good things about the science classes, but so far we only have experience with the humanities there. If you have any specific questions, let me know. Carolyn
dirty ethel rackham
Here is a tag search on Scholars Online. I think they can be hit or miss. Our experience was OK, not great and we probably won't use them again.
