doesn't sound like UTI to me.....

Recommended Posts

Dd had a severe cramp while peeing today. No burning, not more pain towards the end. This doesn't sound like a UTI to me. What else could it be?

she's on minocyclene and azythromycin. Don't know if they treat UTI though.

I've had many, many, many UTI's and they never presented like this.

Don't rule out UTI - I've had two (or three) and never experienced burning, but always pain at the end.

That is why I don't think it's a UTI, no worsenimg pain towards the end.

Monitor for UTI just in case. But it is probably gas. You have her on good probiotics so the yeast doesn't overgrow, don't you?

Yes, a very strong one. I'm also going to start her on the unsweetened cranberry. ALWAYS works for me.

This happened to me when I had a ruptured (and hemorrhaging) ovarian cyst.
This was my first thought as well. When I'm ovulating I have a lot of discomfort/pain when using the bathroom, however I also have a lot of aching/cramping during the day, especially when I sit down on a hard chair.

I hope it is not a UTI - those are not fun!

No pain outside of urinating. She hasn't started her menses yet. I remember those ovarian cysts. They are EXCRUCIATING!!!!!

I'm leaning towards Chucki's idea as subsequent bathroom visits were normal. I'm still going to monitor her and she's drinking unsweetened cranberry juice in her water bottles.

:D That was always my mother's answer for most discomfort otherwise not claimed by a specific cause.
