Denisemomof4
Dd had a severe cramp while peeing today. No burning, not more pain towards the end. This doesn't sound like a UTI to me. What else could it be? she's on minocyclene and azythromycin. Don't know if they treat UTI though. I've had many, many, many UTI's and they never presented like this.
Parrothead
Gas. The shrinking of the bladder while peeing could have moved some gas to a painful position.

She seems to have more of it on her meds.....

Parrothead
Never even thought of that! She seems to have more of it on her meds..... Monitor for UTI just in case. But it is probably gas. You have her on good probiotics so the yeast doesn't overgrow, don't you?

That is why I don't think it's a UTI, no worsenimg pain towards the end. Monitor for UTI just in case. But it is probably gas. I thought you said she WAS experiencing pain towards the end. :tongue_smilie: Hope she feels better soon!
EKS
This happened to me when I had a ruptured (and hemorrhaging) ovarian cyst. Though if this is the problem, she would have other symptoms I would think.
BakersDozen
This happened to me when I had a ruptured (and hemorrhaging) ovarian cyst. This was my first thought as well. When I'm ovulating I have a lot of discomfort/pain when using the bathroom, however I also have a lot of aching/cramping during the day, especially when I sit down on a hard chair. I hope it is not a UTI - those are not fun!

I'm leaning towards Chucki's idea as subsequent bathroom visits were normal. I'm still going to monitor her and she's drinking unsweetened cranberry juice in her water bottles. JessReplanted
In my experience, UTI's can manifest themselves in different ways, and antibiotics don't always work to treat them. I just recently found this product: http://www.amazon.com/Natures-Answer-Ut-4-Ounce/dp/B001AIMOT6 It really works! It tastes horrible, and it takes 4 days, but it really does work.
