Our Spooktacular Halloween Feast!

Recommended Posts

Halloween was supposed to be Tuesday night here (for some stupid reason no one can seem to figure out!) but the wind speed was still so high they postponed it to Saturday. We had friends who were supposed to come over for dinner then Tor T. We kept the dinner plans even without the Trick or Treating, partially because some of it was already prepped and partially because if we cancelled that too, a few boys may have simply imploded! LOL! But even without the TorTing, they seemed to enjoy dinner! Especially the worms!

We had Mummydogs, eyeballs in bloody sauce, ladyfingers, ghostly mash potatoes, troll eyes, a bowl full of worms and finally Mummyjuice!

The worms were the biggest hit. I took bendy straws, extended them, and stood them up in a 1/2 gal milk container. Then poured in jello (with extra unflavored gelatin added). After they set, a quick run under hot water and holding one end with needle nose pliers, you simply push them out of the straw. I made about 200 worms and it only took about 20 minutes to ooze them out of the straw.
