Alicia64
Speaking of "involved lessons" I'm also not great. I'm about a 4 or a 5 on a scale of 1 to 10 with Farrar being a 10. I've never done a lapbook and would like to. We're reading Trumpet of the Swan again and it's hard to miss how appropriate this book would be for further study. Can anyone point me to a Trumpet of the Swan lapbook? Or if you think I can do it myself -- would you please speak very slowly and outline for me what I would need to do? I don't get how kids do those tiny book things that go onto a lapbook. I doubt my kids can write that small. Where do kids find pictures of swans to cut out if we're using library materials. Thank you! Alley
GoVanGogh
I am not sure about a lapbook for that book, but here is my favorite site for lapbooking info: http://www.homeschoolshare.com/lapbooking_resources.php Wanted to add: That was one of our favorite books! :001_smile:
EppieJ
Never used it so I can't vouch for the contents, but here's one on Currclick: http://www.currclick.com/product/65175/Trumpet-of-the-Swan-Literature-Novel-Unit-Study-and-Lapbook
mom31257
Great book! Here are some free notebooking pages. That's not the same as lapbooking, but the pages are very nice. Here are some free lesson plans on Lesson Pathways. I love this idea! They copied illustrations from the book to be the covers.
