Shawna in Texas
I'm thinking of getting my oldest a Wacom tablet for Christmas. I'm specifically looking at the Wacom Bamboo Splash Pen Tablet. I'm also looking at VT PenPad which is half the price. Does anyone have any advice or recommendations? I know absolutely nothing about this stuff, but dd is showing an interest. Shawna in Texas
I had a Wacom Intuos pen tablet and loved it! I think Wacom's quality is excellent. I do not have any experience with the other tablet. However, I would suggest getting a tablet that is in proportion to the size monitor screen that you have. I had the small tablet, but a 24" monitor so the tablet's drawing area was out of proportion to the screen. I would have to pick up the pen and figure out where to reposition it. Incredibly annoying. So, if you have a large monitor, get a larger tablet. Medium monitor, medium size tablet, and so on. She has a netbook. Most of the art she does is with the Drau app on a 4" screen android. kroe1
I have a monster size Wacom because I love digital scrapbooking. My Wacom is a fabulous asset. But I, like the other poster, cannot compare. I have not owned anything else.
