jayb842
Ds is a STEM kid. He's doing Abeka 4 math this year. We will be doing everything expect negative numbers on AOPS pre-algebra test. Is the pre-test a good assessment tool? Also is AOPS pre-algebra a one or two year program? What is the sequence of classes for a student who goal is to take AP Calculus test by their senior year? wapiti
AoPS Prealgebra is a one-year program. Note that there are optional free on-line videos and not-free on-line classes. It was written for bright math students to follow 5th grade math. As most AoPS students are accelerated to one degree or another, getting to AP calc by senior year is not usually an issue - quite the opposite - AoPS offers additional courses outside of the normal sequence for students who do not want to rush to AP Calc. There was a recent thread on the Logic board about the AoPS sequence:Would anyone share their AOPS sequence?
