JennifersLost
My mom is in her 70s and she's heard me talk about these boards for years. She'd like to find a similar place to chat for people her age and interests. She was a working mom, a librarian, has four grown kids and eight grandkids. She likes hiking, birding, gardening, politics, is opinionated, keeps up with the news, etc. Any suggestions?
nakitty
google "chat boards for senior citizen" and the first result that comes up is from "google answers" and someone has compiled a complete list of sites! :001_smile:
elegantlion
Another thing to mention, is don't discount chat boards that are geared toward her interests. I am on paperbackswap and there was an 80 year old very witty man who posted a lot. His story is a whole other post. His experience, wisdom, and perspective was very much appreciated. My mom still can't figure out how to use her DVD player, though we have explained it many times. She still can't figure out how to change the time on her clocks! But my mom might be unusually technologically challenged. Michelle T
