ProudGrandma
How much of a pain is it to do laundry in one of the Disney resorts? What does it cost? Are there multiple machines...one set per area...floor? Is there a place to sit and wait for your clothes to be done? thanks.

Guest
Depends on where you stay. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge (though this was quite a while ago) and I think there was one laundryroom, with chairs for waiting. Don't remember what it cost. Just went with a bunch of quarters and also took my own detergent so I wouldn't have to buy it there.
catz
I did laundry at port d'orleans while the kids swam for a couple hours. They had a number of laundry rooms there. They had some seating in there as well.
Dmmetler
I've done it at Port Orleans and the Swan/Dolphin. Both had multiple machines, chairs for waiting, and it was fairly painless. I would suggest either bringing detergent (the little pods are good) or planning to buy some outside the resort, though.
lorilou
I did laundry while at Polynesian. It had a room with multiple machines and a sitting room with vending machines. I can't remember if it had a TV...I played on my iPad. I second the idea of bringing your own detergent...those little pods are awesome! momofkhm
I've done laundry at the Poly, the campground and dh did it at All Star Music (I was sleeping). All had multiple machines. Not necessarily comfy places to sit. I think the Poly had a tv. DH sat at the bar at the All Stars. I went back to our cabin at the campground. ProudGrandma
are those little laundry pods allowed in carry-on luggage???
Dmmetler
If they're liquid, put a few in the 1 quart bag (inside a smaller zip-lock) and you'll be good. They're well under the size limit. If they're solid, you should be fine with them just in your bag.
