Twinmom Posted July 20, 2008 Share Posted July 20, 2008 I've never been, but I've heard good things about it. If you are wanting to do it on the cheap, don't stay at the Biltmore! You could probably find a much cheaper hotel in Asheville and do just fine...that is, if you've got to travel so far that you can't make it back that day. My dd did a report on this "house" for her writing class and she also completed a lapbook from HOAC on the "house". I STILL remember how AWED I was by the mansion, and I also remember many many little details - it made that kind of impression on me. I would jump at the chance to go again!
