Keniki
We like God's Design because the lessons are relatively short and to the point, because of the colorful pictures, and because there are plenty of opportunities for DOING science rather than just reading about it. So, if your family did well with God's Design, what did you do for highschool science that you liked as well? HollyDay
My youngest really liked God's Design. This year, she is using Abeka Physical Science. We started the year with Apologia Physical, which my oldest really liked. But, the youngest did not care for the style and requested a switch. We looked at both BJU physical and Abeka and she preferred Abeka. I was surprised at first. But, Abeka is indeed, "to the point". There are not "wasted" words in Abeka's Physical. It is very straight forward and "down to business". I plan to use SS for Biology (which oldest used), but I have the older version of BJU (which oldest did not like), so we will see which one she prefers when she gets there next year. Chemistry will be BJU, but again, it will be the previous edition, not the most current. Physics, I'm still undecided about. My oldest is using Castro's Marine Biology this year, and again, I'm undecided on physics at this point.
