MCT Grammar Teacher Intensive?

Yes, MCT is one of the more teacher-intensive programs. The grammar practice book can be done independently, but the other components are taught via Socratic discussion. If you cannot devote 30-60 min of direct teaching time daily, I would recommend picking a different LA program.

We do 30 minutes a day 4xwk. But yes, it is basically ALL "teacher" intensive.

I am doing it with my 6 and 8 year old's together

IMO young students don't get much out of independent grammar.

You could try GWG. It is totally independent but again, but I am not the biggest fan of it.

It is teacher-intensive. My 6th grader is doing Voyage as independently as possible (his preference), but I still spend about 20 minutes per day, 3x per week with him. My 4th grader is using Town and I work with him on it for 45 minutes, 3x per week.

I suppose it is considered teacher intensive being that you read and discuss it with the child but it is a pleasant time intensive. They enjoy it; I enjoy it. I do both boys together at the same level and I put their practice sentences on the whiteboard and let them discuss it and label the parts of the sentence, etc...

It isn't as intensive as math, imo... but like I said our family enjoys all of it so perhaps thats why it doesn't seem like much work.
