MommaOfalotta
So yesterday my kiddies had to get their shots. I was SO shocked and proud that my dd didn't cry! Then it was her baby brothers turn.. as soon as he started crying, my dd LOST IT. She was on my lab sobbing on my shoulder... what does this have to do with homeschooling? I just feel that we are well on our way to having an incredibly close and loving relationship between our kids due in part to homeschooling. Also, we had our first postive reaction when dd shared that we homeschool. Her doctor said "That is great! That is the best way!" I was floored. Then today.. ds was extra sleepy and took a very long nap. Due to the peace and relaxed pace, dd and I had a wonderfully calm and productive school day. I guess I'm having an "I love homeschooling" WEEK :)

TammyS
That's so nice. It's wonderful when those kinds of days happen. :001_smile: It reminds me of an incident when I was a kid. We had to go for shots for school. There were three of us and we were BAD. Always. With a capital B.A.D. You can imagine what three BAD kids and shots were like, right? I was a little worried, but handled it ok. My brother, the sissy who almost passed out when his daughter was born, was IN TEARS waiting his turn. But he survived. By the time we were both done, the atmosphere in the room was FRAUGHT. The nurse (this is back when nurses wore skirts, white, and a hat) turned my younger sister over her knee to give her a shot in the bumm....and my sister bit her leg. I mean reallllllly grabbed on a took a bite out of crime. Blood everywhere. No joke. Me and my brother were . My poor mother. All she wanted was to :auto:.
