sunnylady303
So tomorrow is the day. I have to go to the dentist. I haven't been in like 30 years (and I'm only 35!) and I keep imagining this drilling sound and feeling and AAAAAAA!! I know I need something. I have a crater in my molar where it was chipped 10 months ago that hurts like the dickens. But I am so scared. People are starving, children have cancer, I haven't slept in four nights because of my own sick child, earthquakes destroy villages, but I can't handle a dental appointment and whatever he is going to do to this tooth. Someone help me please. I am going crazy feeling. I have anxiety issues anyway and this is just sending me over the top. :willy_nilly:

Parrothead
I'm so very sorry. :grouphug::grouphug: Believe it or not I'm probably worse off about the dentist than you are. I have to have valium to go. Perhaps you can get some anti-anxiety meds from your doctor. If you are in a lot of pain of if the tooth is abscessed the dentist probably won't do anything except give you a 'script for anti-biotics and a pain reliever. If he does that get a referral to an oral surgeon. He will put you to sleep and take care of the tooth. :grouphug::grouphug:
Live2Ride
A good dentist will have drugs to help you. You need to speak with him about your fears. Ours has headphones and blankets along with various drugs to help calm you. Hugs!
