SnMomof7
My daughter LOVES science, and she's a good reader. I do not have time to teach science actively. So, I need science recommendations she could do on her own! Young-earth Christian perspective preferred. Textbooks? Apologia with the notebooks so she could open and go? Suggestions??!!
...................
She can definitely do Apologia independently. You may want to tell her you can't do all the experiments and go through ahead of time and just choose a few. Zoology 1 with the notebook would be do-able. For easy hands on you should just get her a bird feeder, bird bath (plastic ones are only $20) and an ant farm and butterfly kit for the insect section. dbmamaz
I actually just got a bunch of science readers and put them in a bin, and told him he has to read 15 minutes a day and choose a sentence for copywork. we never were happy with any science curriculum, so this is easier and, aside from complaining every day that he hates copy work (but not complaining DURING the copywork), everyone is happy.
