SandhillsRanchMama Posted October 9, 2012 Share Posted October 9, 2012 Hello, I am using HOD beyond for an 8yo boy. The reading is too easy. Thus I am trying to beef it up. Was thinking of either SL 3rd grade readers and LA program, or the HOD Drawn into the heart of reading with the Rod and Staff English 2. I am also open to any other thoughts. Thanks! Bree Posted October 10, 2012 Share Posted October 10, 2012 I'm using Beyond with my 2nd grader. We do Sonlight 3 readers and also some from the list of the DITHOR level 2 readers. I have both SL and R&S English and my vote would be R&S 2. I have used SL LA K-2 and the creative writing assignments are fun, but we have not gleaned much grammar from it so I supplement that because the spiral approach SL uses confuses me :) Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
