hsingscrapper
What is your favorite printed grammar reference/handbook? I'm thinking of Elements of Style. Would like something that will be useful through high school.
tammyw
I'm not sure about the best ones, but here are the books I've purchased with hopes of making good use of them over the years: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1931492220/ref=wms_ohs_product http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/0312573375/ref=wms_ohs_product http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1606520261/ref=wms_ohs_product The reference guides recommended in Bravewriter: http://www.amazon.com/Nitty-Gritty-Grammar-Not-So-Serious-Guide-Communication/dp/0898159660/ref=pd_bxgy_b_text_y http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1580082289/ref=wms_ohs_product
Ellie
Strunk & White (Elements of Style). A good, more-comprehensive handbook might be useful, such as Warriner's. For many actual usage questions, though, Strunk & White does the trick.
