Hampton Roads: moving up there and need to know about some areas

Recommended Posts

My dh is going to be working in the ship yards in Newport News. Where can we find a safe neighborhood? I was looking at an apartment in the north of the city called The Village at Stoneybrook. Is the corner of Thorncliff Dr. and Warwick Blvd. a nice area?

I know a lot about Norfolk, but I don't know anything about the peninsula.

Thanks for any help!

I will email my aunt who lives off Jefferson in the Denbigh area.

We lived in two different places in the Hampton Roads area. The first was in the historic Yorktown area, but it was super pricey. We also lived in the Poquoson area.

You will be close to the Living Museum, Mariner's Museum, and Air and Space Museum

I had a girlfriend who lived in that area and it was very nice. I wished all the time that we lived in that area since we spent so much time there.
