HollyDay
I mistakenly opened a 32oz carton of beef broth this morning for my lima bean soup. What can I do with it now? Freeze it? Any recipes ideas that would use about 4 cups of beef broth? Silly as it sounds, I rarely use beef broth. All my recipes use chicken broth
KatieJ
Hot Beef sandwiches. Beef roast, onions, and broth into the crock pot with salt and pepper. You can add packet of Italian seasoning, beer, jar of pepperchino peppers..all are optional, but all are good too. Can't do that soon, I would freeze it 2 cups proportions, as you may not use all of it at once in the future.
Jen in PA
You could freeze it in ice cube trays and toss the cubes into other things. I don't use it much, but it is nice for a veggie soup or beef stew base.
Lisa in Jax
Use the broth instead of water to make rice. We do this anytime we make a roast, and it makes tasty "beef" rice. It's also great for cooking veggies in. We love carrots baked in beef broth. :) Lisa
In the Rain
Broth freezes well. We like French dip sandwiches. I think I found a recipe on allrecipes.
Cinder
Freeze it in small amounts--maybe 1/2 or 1 cup. I like to add beef broth to chili and soups.
