hsmom2011
My dd(11) is going to read through the entire series this year. I have been browsing around CBD for a good study guide that we can use as we go along. Does anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone used this one: http://www.christianbook.com/the-chronicles-narnia-course-word-document/christianity-today-international/pd/1320DF?item_code=WW&netp_id=869521&event=ESRCN&view=details if so, what did you think of it? magnificat
Memoria Press has a student and teacher guide for The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. It is a bit dry, but it prompted some good discussions with my daughter last year.

....
This is what we are using this year. We are especially enjoying Roar! A Christian Family Guide. We're also using ROAR. We're near the end of The Horse and His Boy. Roar has some interesting essays in it about C.S Lewis' views of fantasy, magic and Christianity...mythology and Christians...frightening stories and children...color and culture in The Horse and His Boy...metaphors in the series, etc. It's been a very interesting read. Esse Quam Videri
We are using ROAR as well, going through the Narnia series this year as our read alouds. ROAR is not a reading comprehension program, though. It has a two-page spread per chapter which highlights some discussion topics and Biblical correlations. It also has fun activities (Turkish Delight recipe, plant your own Narnia tree, etc) and the essays mentioned above.

mom31257
I don't know about study guides, but IEW has this theme book new this year. If you've ever used their writing program, this would go nicely alongside the reading. If you've wanted to try their program, maybe this would be a good choice. hsmom2011
Thank you for all the recommendations! Roar! appears to be just what I'm looking for, so I went ahead and ordered through Amazon. :)
