Mom0012
I just "ran out" of toner. Anything I can do to extend the life of the cartridge in this model. I've tried shaking the cartridge gently back and forth and have covered some holes on the sides of the cartridge that look like they could be "eyes". I've also tried holding down the copy button for 10 seconds, which is a trick that I read worked on earlier models. Any other thoughts? Thanks! Virg
I do! I bought one three days ago and did a LOT of printing. I am having the same issue. None of the tricks seem to be working. Anyone have any ideas?
lisamarie
http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/printer/68528 You have to cover both eyes, plus do the reset sequence. I don't have your exact printer, I have the HL-5370DW, so if this sequence doesn't work, search around to find the right one for your printer model. I did this over a month ago and still printing strong. Does make you wonder just how shady Brother is.:glare:
