milovany
We just spent a wonderful afternoon near Gig Harbor aboard the tall ship Adventuress [had to get out of the smoke for awhile!! cough-hack-cough]. Have you heard of this schooner? You can read about it here. We toured her two years ago at the Center for Wooden Boats in Seattle, and finally made it over for one of their public sails. It was a beautiful day, although we had very little wind and it was more of a "public drift." Looking forward to next spring. milovany
I'd so love to do an overnighter but it's $2000+ per day (not per night, so a 24-hour one night trip is $4500). We're going to try and get a group of homeschoolers from this side together next year for perhaps an 8-hour sail or something, one day but longer than usual. Will still be spendy, but broken down amongst 5-6 families, might be doable.
