It's snowing.... and I'm just not ready....

Recommended Posts

It's snowing on me today. Just a few inches, but I'm really not ready. All the winter clothes and boots are still put away. I never raked the leaves or put away my flower pots.

And DD18 just texted me from college to let me know it's 80 degrees where she is and she's nearly out of sunscreen.

I'm going out for chocolate and a cup of expensive coffee. Anyone want me to bring them back some?

We had snow flurries last week, but it's in the 70's here today. (I'll gladly take a coffee though!) :D

I always think of the first snow as a reminder to find the winter clothes. I hope you get some warmer weather before winter really sets in. And yes I'd love a cup of coffee. :) The leaves are turning here and the temperature is dropping at night. I'm refusing to turn on the heat. it's the time of year that I feel like a bad land lord.

Can we trade? I would gladly move back to Anchorage and you can have Houston. :)

I am pretty content right now, since we have had two days of rain and it is cooler. In all reality, I could move there or Canada and be happy for the rest of my life.

Do you still have any? I was in Anchorage this morning/afternoon for skating and lunch (Yeah, Taco King!)and most of it was melted. I expected it to be gone when we got home (ER) but we still have quite a bit all over the yard. Poor kids, DH made them go pull/cut all of the plants left in the garden. At least he went out to help them so it doesn't feel so much a punishment as a job.

On the up side for us, going into the ice rink was now actually warmer than it was outside!
