Rich with Kids Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 OK, I had weight loss surgery 5 years ago. I cannot have sugar. It causes something called dumping syndrome. It makes me very nauseated and I break out in a cold sweat and then I pass out from exhaustion. So we went to a drive-in restaurant that rhymes with Bonic. We ordered and I took a sip of what is supposed to be a Diet Dr. Pepper. No way this was DDP. It was too good. So, I stopped the car hop and asked her to redo it, because sugar makes me sick. She gets me another one and assures me it's diet. Well, 20 minutes later, I can assure you that it's not. I only drank half of it ('Cuz, really, it just didn't taste diet) and I'm fading fast. I shoulda went with my gut! And guess who's getting a strongly worded email!:cursing: Quote

Pink Fairy Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 :grouphug: I recommend a trip to see Judge Judy, "Bonic" food service worker in tow. Quote
Brindee Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 My mom had surgery a long time ago and had 2/3 of her stomach removed. She has to be VERY careful of what she eats cuz she gets dumping syndrome too. She gets nauseated, sharp gas-type pains, dizzy, feverish, then dumps (diarrha like). Bleah. Both my sister and I have it, but more minor. When I do that it's rare enough that I have no clue what would've caused it. Anyway, I am sooo sorry that happened! I hope you are better soon! I'll hug you once you're done dumping! ;) :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Quote
